poor get poorer in our town<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And in a draw in the grocery store<br>Are the last few cents that heaven sent to our town<br>The World Bank man&#8217;s got the upper hand in our town<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And another guy looks at his life<br>And wonders where his dreams have gone in our town<br>He jumps sky high but his dreams won&#8217;t fly in our town<br>The papers say things are this way for reasons<br>Look at them now while they wave the flags of freedom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And far away the world goes round<br>In fancy clothes they&#8217;re never sold in our town<br>Brand new
